You should have heard Mystic Age Radio last night. A Bible scholar was discussing UFOs and the paranormal in connection to the Bible. I listened just because I thought, "Oh, yeah; this is gonna be good..." I was pleasantly surprised that the guy doesn't take himself too seriously, and that he made some valid points and comparisons to paganism. He pretty much compared the Catholic Church to weird old Uncle Bob in the corner at family gatherings, which is Made Of Win.
One excellent point being that believing in dinosaurs and Creation do not have to be mutually exclusive. His theory? That the gods created the world, and then had to start over after the Great Flood, for example. That humans have the time frame mixed up. Angels and aliens might be related; the people that encountered angels at the time described them as being like Man but shorter, like teenage boys. That doesn't necessarily mean that they looked human, but that they had a standard humanoid shape: one head, two eyes, two arms, two legs...
His point was that it's just words. We can't fully comprehend the paranormal, so we try to put it into a context that we can understand.
