I. Peter/Isaac
The above characters are Peter Petrelli and Isaac Mendez, from Heroes, and the slash mark indicates them together, frequently in some form of undress.
Why Peter and Isaac? They're in a love triangle with Simone, geesh, they're both in love with her, Isaac hates Peter at this point and vice-versa, and the whole thing of Isaac shooting Simone while aiming for Peter might put a damper on their beautiful relationship. Plus I seem to be slashing Isaac with Peter's older brother a lot, recently.
I have a thing for tragic love triangles, and when I write/read them (when I occasionally do), my favourite ending is for the most important factor in the triangle to be removed; thus the other two, having lost (for whatever reason) the person who was most important to them, wind up with each other. If that makes sense.
Painting, for me, also has heavy romantic/connection overtones: Peter met Isaac first of all the other heroes, he picked up Isaac's gift first, they've painted together. That implies some kind of connection (at least with slash goggles on). While the screencaps from the upcoming episodes look gruesome (crucifixion with paintbrushes, OW), Sylar's also looking up in surprise, as though somebody's coming at him from above. Hmm. Who do we know who can fly?
Lastly, they're hot together. We're talking explosion-of-Vesuvius.
II. Sappho
The first known female poet in the Western World, living in a town called Mytilene on the Greek island of Lesbos around the beginning of the 6th century BCE. She's known for her love poetry to women and very little else, but what we have is gorgeous. She marks the beginning of love poetry in recorded history: pre-Sappho, pretty much all we had was epics and odes. Sappho's poetry is deeply personal, sensual, and descriptive of a women's world where few men were permitted to enter.
Some dumbfucks scholars suggest that SHE WASN'T GAY OMG!1!!!1!! Sappho was in fact attracted to men and only wrote poetry to women because that's what other, male, poets did. This is a crock of crap highly debatable, however.
Here's a few lines of her poetry:-
Love shook my senses,
like a wind rushing down upon the oaks of the mountain ~ Fragment 47
Which makes me remember Anaktoria, who is no longer here
Her lovely step and the brilliant glancing of her face
I would rather see, than all the armies of the Lydians

And I said to her "Go, be happy and remember how we sat, garlanded with flowers and anointed [lines missing] and on purple-cushioned beds you would drive out your desire...
Simeon Solomon did a painting called Sappho and Erinnea in the Garden at Mytilene, which is well worth Googling, as is Alma-Tadema's Sappho.
III. Harajuku
Oh G-d, where to start. Harajuku is one of the districts of Tokyo, which used to be comprised mostly of a pedestrian zone. There are lots of cheap clothing shops around the area, and it became famous as the haunt of teenagers wearing the most mindboggling fashions imaginable. Google Harajuku, it's beyond my ability to explain. XD There are two books of photography concerning these teenagers and their clothes, called Fruits and Fresh Fruits, which are fabulous.

So, this was made by me, and is a portrait of the lovely Sir Isaac Newton, Lucasian Professor of Mathematics at Cambridge, main character in The Baroque Cycle, and Gay Puritan Physicist. Because every girl needs a snarky alchemist in her icon set. He also functions as my default "Bitch, plz" icon.

This is by archaicangel and portrays Paul McGann as the Eighth Doctor Who. Eight's probably my favourite Doctor, and the icon's pretty. Mmmyep, real deep. XD
III. Hmm, strange, I can't find the file. Anyways. I'm sure everybody knows the "Slutboi Alien Tease" one. XD I basically went "GNNERNGH TEN SNOGGING A SONIC SCREWDRIVER MUST HAVE" *YONK*.
