Loving Chicago
I had no idea it would be this amazingly beautiful here in late summer. I am totally loving life here in Hyde Park. The buildings have so much character, all the streets are lined with big, beautiful, green-leafed, shade-providing trees, and the lake! I guess I had forgotten how much I love large bodies of water, and Lake Michigan is so big and bright, shiny blue! I'm really excited about being here.
On the down side, I have no furniture yet, but I'm working on it. We should have a couch on Wednesday, and I hope to be able to get a desk and maybe a bed this weekend. I do have a matress, so I'm comfortable enough for the moment.
Classes start on Tuesday!
