Wow, it really has been a long time since I last posted. I would've done it a lot earlier had my computer not crapped out on me on Monday. Grrr...I don't even know why. The best reason I can think of is...I saved a pic of a spirit-possessed ouija board. Really though, I wasn't websurfing much or opening strange emails...so I don't really think it was a virus. Anyway, I'll fix my comp after I type this entry.
I just had surgery...on my mouth...again...for like the 4th time. Stupid infection. Now I'm bleeding and getting swollen and I should probably take some pain meds soon.
I finished FMA the movie and the OVAs...There are four short OVAs...the Chibi Party, State Alchemists vs Homunculi, Kids, and Live Action. You can watch them on Youtube.
On Thursday, I dreamt that DB came to stay with me awhile. I just happened to be wearing my blue DB shirt and I was reading a biography on him. I thought it might be weird for him...But I continued reading away anyway. He had his short long brown hair and he was pretty old...He sang I think a part of Thursday's Child for me.
He thought he didn't sound so good, but I reassured him that it was fine. Later, I wanted him to play Raine, but I accidentally broke the fretboard! Ack. So that was crappy. He wasn't really that friendly to me, unlike Pierce Brosnan (who'd visited me in another dream earlier).
Now to tell you about my field trip on Friday!
So I woke up bright and early (9am) and went to the meeting spot. I noticed that my professor Richard has nice cerulean eyes and he's a quick walker...even uphill! And he's like 37...Anyway, we checked out quite a few parts along the Hayward Fault. Founder's Rock is where the founders of Berkeley declared that place Berkeley. So on we walked...into Memorial Stadium. Then down over into the wilderness to Hamilton Creek, where Richard ran into a large spider and got creeped out. It was cute though. Then he winded around the bend and paused in the shrubs. One girl asked if he got caught in a web and he answered affirmative (probably to humor her). He was like, "Does someone else want to lead??" Hehe. We had to go along a narrow ledge and jump over the creek...That jump was like 4-5 feet wide! This one girl was like, "I think that was the largest jump I've ever made in my life!" Lol. I was afraid I wouldn't make it (but I did!). I was wondering like what if someone couldn't do it...Richard then had to cross the creek again into more wilderness. We reached a road. It's weird up there though...There was a cabin with a bunch of wood stuff around, some couple of odd ladders in another building, and these spinning barrel things...plus a really old playground from like the 80's. Richard said that there used to be a really sheared up building there, but now there's a temporary one...So we all left after that.
Here, read this segment from an article on him, if you'd like:
BERKELEY, Calif. - Bounding up the steps of Memorial Stadium, a University of California-Berkeley structure that straddles the Hayward earthquake fault, Assistant Professor Richard Allen of the university's seismological laboratory led an NBC News team on a brief field trip.
"There's creep going on here," Allen said, pointing to a growing gap of several inches between two sections of the stadium, the gap covered by a bent steel plate, "and we're seeing the effects of that creep."
To ease our creepy feelings, Allen, who hails from Great Britain, lol, figured they’d point that out immediately assured us that engineers believe the stadium is safe and that the university is spending millions of dollars retrofitting it and other structures on the Berkeley campus to withstand the next “Big One,” referring to the huge 1906 San Francisco earthquake. Like most other scientists, though, Allen confesses he has virtually no idea when that next “Big One” might be.
I like his accent...I really do. Plus his blond hair.
I bought Clay Aiken's new CD. I still have to listen to it some more. It's Moon Day, go have some mooncake!
Now the part you've all been waiting for, pictures!
Check out the shirts at Hot Topic. I like the black one.
