Originally uploaded by Iconolatrie. Inspired by Pan's Labyrinth - which I saw last weekend. I really didn't have a good handle on what this movie was about - and the violence really freaked me out. The friend I saw it with had a similar reaction. I knew it was dark - but not THAT dark. Reminded my of "Dancer in the Dark" for the level of darkness. After the movie we went to a local gallery and a paper store to get back in our "happy place".
I'm really happy right now - and my art is still coming out dark and moody - embrace the darkness!
