I think I'll start a series. It may or may not make me more positive.
I'm going to write lists about things I like and don't like about things. Hopefully we can see if we can make the 'like' list a lot longer than the 'don't like'. I suppose it depends on the topic.
For today, though, my topic is:
Things I Like/Don't Like About Winter:
Bullets seem appropriate for this, I think.
Things I Like:
- The atmosphere at Starbucks. It's just so much more cheerful and Christmassy.
- The smell in the air. It's cold, sure, but it smells so much cleaner.
- Tea in my favorite mugs.
- Walking in the snow, or crunching leaves on the sidewalk
- Wearing winter boots, sweaters, mittens, scarves, knee socks other winter accessories
- Christmas. Enough said.
- Gingerbread cookies, candies, chocolates, baking things
- Shopping for presents, present ideas
- Christmas break
- Snow, the smell of the air when it snows
- Fires in the fireplace, and naps in front of them
- Snuggling in blankets while reading, or playing video games
- All the classic movies are on TV, and often.
- Christmas music.
Things I Don't Like:
- It's stupid cold out, and I can't feel my fingers or toes in the winter
- Getting out of bed or out of the shower takes forever.
- Scraping the windshield of my car, or waiting for it to defrost
- Christmas rush at the mall, grumpy customers
- Finals for the Fall semester at uni.
- Boney M, Mariah Carey Christmas music.
- People taking advantage of the 'season' and getting drunk at family get togethers.
That's all I can think of at the moment...comment !!! Let's think of some things to look forward to. <3
