Anime Evolution
Haven't been able to check LJ this weekend. I will need to catch up tonight or sometime soon X3
Once again, I have survived both days without eating lunch and just a minimal breakfast. Water was the most important asset we had behind the tables ($$ would come second LOL) Seriously, no water = death. The room got pretty hot because we had the windows at our backs. The fan helped things a lot more on Sunday.
I was surprised to see some people I recognized from last year! People as in cosplayers, who have come out of town or whatnot. ^_^ Leaves me with a happy feeling.
Unfortunately, I didn't really get a chance to take pictures. It was just too busy. But I can describe what I see.
Air Gear: I saw a very interesting Karasu at AE. The guy wasn't in any sort of costume really. He had a dark blue hoodie on. His hood however was the interesting part. Sewed 2 eyes on it, attached a beak and that was that. At first glance it didn't register, but after looking at it a few more times I'm like... "Hey... that's the crow from Air Gear XD" The only true Air Gear cosplay I saw was one girl who did Agito. Both is his usual clothing and the Kogarasumaru outfit. I thought it was excellent! Took her only 3 days to make the Kogarasumaru and 1 day for the other O_o I'm totally envious!
Fate Stay Night: I saw one Saber. She did quite a good job in general I think. The front part of her dress that has the strings could be improved though. And I think the costume was all in one piece (if I remember correctly).
Final Fantasy 7: Saw 2 Cloud's at least, a couple of Tifa's and 1 Aeris. The 1 Aeris stood out quite a bit because her costume was very good. I have never seen such an accurate red jean jacket in my life XD A couple of Vincent's too and that made me happy (Vincent is my favourite after all).
Kingdom Hearts 1/2: Plenty of these guys. I can't tell you who's who because I have never played the game. But I definitely recognize the costumes.
Ouran High School Host Club: I was surprised to see these =P One of the people showed me a cute picture of Honey-senpai. But there was actually a guy who dressed up as Tamaki. Most of the guys I talked to have not taken Ouran very well. I also saw a girl dressed in one of those female school uniforms =D
Ragnarok Online: There was a really awesome costume of a male high priest. Period. Nothing more I can say XD
There were other series as well, like Samurai Champloo, Inuyasha, Chobits (lots of Chii), Tsubasa Chronicles (Kurogane), Prince of Tennis and others. But nothing that stood out in particular.
As for what I picked up at the con (or at the time of the con), I would say not that much.
Final Fantasy VII -Reunion Files- was the absolute BEST thing that I got (and I know we sold 2 other copies).
Ouran High School Host Club Sketchbook was filled with concept art for the anime. Another awesome book that I'm glad to have in my hands (thanks Shana).
Doujinshi (2 Naruto, 3 Bleach, 1 Death Note). Yes, there was 1 Death Note and some of you are probably wondering 'Why did she get one for DN? I didn't know she was into it.' And you would be absolutely right. I actually don't really like DN. But artwork from RURU is undeniable XD~ I will be adding these to my collection
Cards (2 Fate Stay Night, some Bleach). Didn't go through the PoT TCG's this year after paying lots for other things. The cards were the last thing I scouted out when I looked over the cards table for a bit. Too busy to even look at our own merchandise other than when customers flipped through the pages XD
