GOING TO SEE THE CRÜE!!!
I AM GOING TO SEE MÖTLEY CRÜE AND ALICE COOPER!!!!
I've wanted to see the Crüe for quite some time, now, and never could, due to money issues. They announced that this was going to be their final tour ever, so I desperately needed to get myself a pair of tickets. And then I found out that they were touring with Alice Cooper, and I was like YES!!!
They're kicking off their tour in Grand Rapids, MI on July 2nd, but that's a Wednesday, and I have no more vacation time until August and can't afford to take a day off without pay. But they'll be back in Clarkston, MI on August 9th, which falls on a Saturday.
My mother-in-law was trying to win tickets for me from the local radio stations, but didn't get anything. So Thursday, she called me from work. One of her co-workers was going. Her co-worker is either part of the Crüe's paid fan club, or Alice Cooper's, and had a special pre-sale password. She gave it to my mother-in-law, who gave it to me.
Thad told me to get whichever seats I wanted. Lawn seats were $38. The next up were pavilion seats at $51. And next up were pavilion seats at $60, but covered by the roof (and that was as affordably close as I could get, as the next up was $100 and so on and so forth). I had the chance for PERFECT seats, but I was in a hurry to go to work. I told myself I'd do it when I got home, but I didn't get home until 1AM, and by then was too tired to do anything. So I tried Friday morning when I woke up... Any everything but lawn seats were sold out. :(
So I bought lawn seats, because I'll be damned if I miss out on seeing the Crüe altogether. But I'm disappointed in myself for missing out on the opportunity for better seats, all because I wasn't willing to take an extra five minutes in favor of being early for work.
BUT ENOUGH OF THAT! I'M GOING TO SEE MÖTLEY CRÜE!!! <3
And now I need a Crüe t-shirt.
