Me: *talking about one of my novel characters, Serich* What would you do for a multi-cultural wedding? Have one ceremony? On which cultural side? Who would decide this?
Thad: Probably her.
Me: Probably. And I mean... Druid ceremony? Huge, lavish invite-big-huge-italian-family-including-cousins-five-times-removed ceremony? Do one ceremony with his family, then the other with hers?
Thad: Just do one. Probably the druid one. I mean, they work in a museum. That's an awesome foreign experience, right there.
That last part made me happy for 3 reasons:
1) It means that he remembered.
2) It means that he paid attention.
3) It means that he actually listened to me.

Also, having been married for nine years, myself, planning Serich's wedding is driving me up the wall. What the hell.
