Another AB
Not a bad con, although there were some ups and downs. Some of the amusing parts:
-having a drunk guy ask to take a picture with me outside Trader Joe's Friday night and then try to hang out with us...
-getting locked out of the hotel room for half an hour because the battery in the door's card reader died
-I DIDN'T GO TO ANY PHOTOSHOOTS *gasp*
-sang Arcadia from The Idolm@ster in the karaoke room first thing Friday morning and someone told me she loved listening to my voice
-discovering that there's going to be a 21+ con ON CAPE COD. NEXT MONTH. Debating if I wanna check it out for a day...
-wearing my fancy Putumayo Tales of Xillia outfit, along with 2 friends, and getting mistaken for Black Butler cosplayers several times
-I say some stupid crap when I am dead tired and among friends (that are trying to corrupt me)
Didn't see everyone I was looking for, and I ended up wearing my one REAL cosplay for about 3 hours. I'll probably wear it to another con at some point to make up for it. (Yuyuko Saigyouji from Touhou Perfect Cherry Blossom)
Swag? I got some, since I DO have a job this time around.
-2 normal size manga, plus a third that was a gift for my sister
-2 LARGE manga
-HUBERT KEYCHAIN plus a Richard keychain for Ashi
-stuffed pig with a nose that squeaks. I think I'll name him Jade, haha
-pair of lolita socks (black with white musical notes)
-YUKKURI SHITE ITTE NE t-shirt (it's a Touhou meme)
Wanted volumes 3 and 4 of the ToA dvds but the one booth I found them at...too expensive for me. Lolita brand h.NAOTO had a booth too and OMG such pretty things that were way out of my budget. Couldn't help looking a little bit though.
Also ate at Wagamama 3 TIMES (twice for lunch, once for dessert), bought a book at Barnes and Noble, got a picture of a Kurama cosplayer (a tradition for me), hugged a Hubert cosplayer, and was interrupted during a mini-shoot in front of a church by a bus full of tourists, some of which took our pictures too.
I miss everyone and am very sad. Trying to plan the next get-together to coincide with OTAKON. Because I miss Otakon. And no one can come to the Cape for NAUTICON next month, too short notice. Lol how do we not see these things?
