Cosplay~ Fantasy into Life
I'm a beginner cosplayer. My costumes are just 2 sets for now..hahaha...It's kinda fun when i'm cosplaying. Especially when I did my fav character from anime. It's like bringing the characters into our life. So cool!! ^^ And cosplay has become a growing trend now in Malaysia. Same goes worldwide because I can see more cosplayers from corners of the world than a few years back. So, it is quite a fun to be in the cosplay community. But, everything comes with a PRICE..literally!! It is very costly to even tailor-made a costume and also making the prop. I know we can cut down the cost with sewing the costumes ourselves but unfortunately for me I dun have the skill to sew. I just know how to sew name badges, simple alteration and repair torn clothes..hahaha..so i depend on cosplay shops to get my costumes. It's kinda expensive too. So what i did was, i will do many surveys for the price and also look at the comments by previous buyers for the quality..i'm the type of person who really go for quality. Fortunately, my two 1st costumes are in quite reasonable price and i'm totally satisfied with the tailoring.
Thinking about which characters to cosplay, I chose Sesshomaru (from Inuyasha anime). I bought the costumes, props, wigs and everything to be Sesshomaru. And I looked cool in it too! (Not praising myself but i get a lot of praises from my friends) ^^ So, it is very satisfying for me. Hehehe.. And I wore it first in my faculty event (yes, i'm an undergraduate). My costume made a huge impact on that day! And now, i'm waiting for my 2nd costume which is Austria from Hetalia Axis Powers anime. Why I choose Austria? Hahaha..it's just that I want something that doesn't require wig wearing and contact lenses. I had those trouble during my 1st cosplay. The wig was kind of tight for my head (maybe i've gt BIG head!). So, that's why I chose Austria because the cosplay is quite simple. And i'm going to wear it during AFA (the one I posted earlier). Can't wait for the costumes to reach me!! Kya~~!!
So, I really think that cosplaying is a fun hobby, if it can be categorized into a hobby...hope that i can get a lot of cosplay friends in livejournal too!!
