Tomorrow I leave for 'The Burrow'. I don't know what to expect; a warm welcome? Or something frosty because of George's attitude to me, and being Fred's girlfriend ( Read more... )

I shall owl you from the spa, Raine.

Don't worry about George too much.

But I am worried Lise. He hates me, and I don't want to cause that between twin brothers. And I'm worried she'll hate me or something. She's certainly making me run the gauntlet!

Rae... if you want I could talk to George about it when we get back? Or I could owl him over the break.

Are you talking about Mrs. Weasley?

I...I just don't see how me going out with him and maybe us moving in together in the long-distanced future has caused this.

I'm certainly not talking about Ginny...I mean, what do I say when she asks what my job is? "Yeh, Mrs Weasley, your son and I first met properly at my work, which was, at the time, as a waitress and dancer at a bar." That's going to put us both in a bad light. And hell, I can't knit!

Ok, first of all- relax. What you have to understand with twins is that they are together almost constantly from the moment they born. Fred and George have a really strong bond and for seventeen years, nothing broke it. George is just having a hard time getting used to the fact that Fred cares for someone else. He sees it as a threat to his bond with his brother. It's not your problem. It's Fred and George's problem. Fred needs to take the time to think about what his brother needs as well as what you need.

About the dancer bit- just say you worked as an entertainer. She won't mind one jot even if you told her about the dance bit because she'll love you for you. And don't bring things about jobs up first.

Nobody is expecting you to knit!

Thanks Lise, I'll remember that.

Ginny thinks It's hilarious that I've got to bring knitting needles. Apparently 'Mum's not that bad.'

Wish me luck! I may just need it.

Good luck!

P.S. A good knitting spell is on page 341 of Standard Book of Spells Grade 5.
