If you're ever given the choice between local anesthetic (numbing the gum) and general anesthesia (being put asleep during surgery) for wisdom teeth removal, go with the latter. I'm going to ask you the same question I asked Dil: do I have to watch season 1 before I watch season 2? Will I be missing much or get confused? I heard the second season was great, but not so much the first season.

Uhmmm I don't know, I don't think anything really all that significant happen in first season. You can probably figure out what sorta happened in first season from watching second.

Yeah I agree, I didn't like first season too much as well.

Okay, question. Do I have to watch season one of The Office before I watch season 2? I've heard great things about the show, but that the first season was kind of blah.

I have The Office UK burnt on disc somewhere so you can grab it off of me whenever you're in town.

season one is only 6 episodes (which is like, 2-3 hours because each ep is about 20 minutes long) so it's not so bad. i don't think you would miss much plot-wise if you didn't watch season 1, but i think you would understand the characters more if you did.

i think from season 1, the pilot was the worst because it's pretty much exactly the same as the UK pilot. but i actually liked season 1! although season 2 gets much better :)

and yay, you are awesome for having the UK version. did you watch it yet?

I've had it for more than a year but I'm never in the mood to watch it. I hear it's more of an awkward-comedy rather than a funny-comedy, and I think I'll end up cringing through the whole thing.

yeah, the humour is kind of different from typical sitcoms!
i think you'll like the US one though - especially the second season.
