Shoe money tonight!
I've been feeling very... detached from my interests. The Winter Olympics are less than two weeks away, and I could care less at the moment. This is coming from a girl who did nothing but lived and breathed winter sports for two weeks in 2002. I've been watching the usual shows, but I can't seem to put in the effort to talk about them. I'm in a weird mood.
Some short non-spoilery thoughts:
- BSG - I finally caught up yesterday, and all I can say about last week's episode is WTF? And not in a good way.
- VM - Loved every second of Logan/Weevil. OMGtheirloveissoforbidden! And yay for Wallace being back!
- Scrubs - Jack picspam! The CUTENESS, it kills.
- Grey's Anatomy - McDreamy continues to be a dickwad. Oh, and I think I love Addison.
Movies I'm dying to see:
- Good Night and Good Luck
- Transamerica
Biggest "I can't believe it's not butter!" moments:
- Roberto Mendoza is Captain Adama. This really blows my brains. Edward James Olmos looks completely different on both shows. Or perhaps I'm blind.
- Teri Polo played Rebecca Wells on Sports Night. I can't believe it took me this long to connect the dots - no wonder she looked so familiar. (I would like to add, OMG, Dan/Rebecca love!)
While I'm talking about Sorkin shows, how ecstatic am I that Matthew Perry joined the cast of Studio 7 (or whatever they're calling it now)? And hey, Amanda Peet just joined the cast! Back to Matthew Perry - loved him on friends (who didn't love Chandler?), and I thought he did a great job on TWW. Wheeeee.
Two of my favourite shows talking about falling and sex:
Sam: About a week ago, I accidentally slept with a prostitute.
Toby: Really?
Sam: Yes.
Toby: You accidentally slept with a prostitute?
Sam: Call girl.
Toby: Accidentally?
Sam: Yes.
Toby: I don’t understand. Did you trip over something?

J.D.: Okay, fine! I'm sorry I slept with your ex-wife! It was an accident.
Dr. Cox: Look.... First of all, it's not like you tripped and fell into her... and then out of her... and then into her... again. And, second of all, you're smart enough to know that I don't want to talk about this; I don't want to know where you did it; I don't even want to know... how it was.

Rumour has it that Zach Braff and Mandy Moore are engaged. Huh.
And thus ends my post about nothing in particular.
P.S.
I love my polisci prof this semester. He's one of those lecturers where you don't take a lot of notes because it's not really related to the course material, but you feel like you're absorbing a wealth of information and gaining an insight into the world just by listening to him talk. I really wish I took this intro course first year and did a double major in polisci. Then again, I don't think I would have survived all that essay writing.
