First day of the tour: Yukatas and Fireworks
Even though we just arrived at the hotel, the tour immediately started with visiting historic places in Japan. It was a sight to see. Japan has a really rich culture-every place speaks about history, something I really love. Somewhere along the tour, we found Misaki drenched due to unknown reasons. It was a good thing she didn’t get sick.
Before we went back to the hotel, we stopped by a shop to buy yukatas. We found out we were going out that night wearing the yukata at the Tanabata Festival. Of course, before we went to the festival, the four of us had to go through one obstacle-wearing the yukata. It was quite hard, especially with the fact that we have never worn a yukata before. Thankfully, Keiko, one of the hotel attendants, helped us putting it on-or else we would have to stick to Misaki’s way of wearing a yukata which would most likely make us look like a walking sushi, no offense meant. The festival was very fun. We had a great time roaming around. I tried my luck in catching fishes, wanting to have a real pet fish instead of a virtual aquarium in ‘Insaniquarium’. Unfortunately luck isn’t on my side so I gave up after countless failed attempts and laughter from my friends, I gave up. After that, we made a wish at the tree on the hilltop. Of course, I’m not telling anyone my wish. Lastly, there was a fireworks display that totally left us speechless. It was the best way to end the night.
