Wow,guys. I just did the dumbest thing ever.
I was waiting to cross the street, watched a bunch of cars go past, peeked out and started to jaywalk across the street, thinking about my upcoming meeting with my advisor and wondering what the fallout will be.
BAD CHOICE.
I literally get halfway across and realize there are, in fact, two cars bearing down on me. I turn around to dash back to the sidewalk and safety, hoping no one saw except those two drivers who were probably thinking, WTFCRAZYCOLLEGESTUDENT! Only to find two of my Chinese classmates staring at me. One with a, "Shit girl, are you CRAZY?!" look, and the other a bemused, "You really aren't paying attention are you?"
Me: "Ha, ha. I was...playing chicken? Um." Because, really, there's nothing to be said to save this situation.
They were just like, "Yeah. Watch out for cars, okay?"
*headdesk* Excuse me while I go inject caffeine directly to my brain.
