Today has been a very relaxing one.
We started out with a nice brunch at Chutney's in Wallingford with friends. They have an Indian food buffet with pastries and a few western breakfast items. It works really well.
Gaming was canceled, so we had the afternoon ahead of us. Eric opted for a nap while I headed off to the Southcenter area and some long-procrastinated shoe shopping. As these things usually work out, I went in for one pair of shoes and ended up buying two pair. DSW had my New Balance cross trainers and also some REALLY cute dark brown dress shoes. They are perfect for work and the dark brown was the one "gap" in my shoe wardrobe that needed filling.
Then I wandered over to the Kohls across the parking lot and ended up finding Gloria Vanderbilt jeans (one black and one tan) in my size. For whatever reason, that brand fits me right. Of the 8 pair of pants I took into the dressing room, only those fit. I can wear jeans to work as long as they are not BLUE jeans, so today was a big win for work clothes!
The Seahawks game was shaping up to be a blowout, so I took a shift in bed with a nap while Eric watched the rest of the game.
Now it is probably time to think about dinner.
