Now that you mention it I don't use it a whole lot in everyday speech, but it's not particularly uncommon either. I've got to, I'm reluctant I think because I'm a bit selfish. But I seriously have to, I can't abide by the thought of hurting my girlfriend, she's just too sweet. I get terribly guilty! It eats at me. But the threat of feeling guilty hasn't been enough to stop me previously. Now though I think I've got the ability to overcome my impulses.
