"Rationalize" - chase/cameron drabble

I went for a drive this morning and snagged the new John Mayer CD with "Gravity" on it. It was kind of a peaceful drive, and now I'm sitting here waiting on bud to bring me some more xanax! yay!
Anyway I just felt like writing a little something. My f-list is dead today and I think I'm gonna go read fic or play on youtube.
Anyway, here's my chase!cameron drabble. I don't write them much, so yeah.

He wasn't awake when she left his place. It was still dark out and she moved through the shadows silently, picking up her clothing from whereever it had been tossed in their hurry the night before.
He'd said that it shouldn't happen again. Not after the last time. Her stupid mistake.

At least last time she'd felt something.Even if it was simply the fault of the amphetamines coursing through her system, the seemingly superhuman tempo of her heart, it had felt intense.

She was so sure she would at least feel something Chase loved her. He was soft and sweet and gentle and everything she thought any woman could ask for.  She liked the feel of him on top of her. Their soft skin mingling together and sliding, slick with sweat. She loved the way he knew just where to touch her to make her gasp, the way he lilcked at her collarbone and nipped at her nipple, just hard enough, never too hard.

He was gentle. Even during sex he was almost too gentle. He used long slow strokes and never pushed too hard.
Sometimes she wanted him to push hard, to pound into her fast and hard over and over again until she fell apart around him.

"You want him to be me." stated a smug voice in her head that sounded all too much like House.

She bit back a sob as she slid on her workwear from the day before. She dressed in darkness, feeling her way around her clothing. Bra first, shirt, vest, buttons, then stockings, skirt, heels.

She eyed her panties half hidden under his bed on the floor. She bent to pick them up but stopped half-way down, and stood up again. She'd leave them for him, because she knew she'd be back.

They were a disaster, a trainwreck of pain and emotion and lies, but she knew she'd be back.
In a few days she'd convince herself it was perfect again, lovely, everything a girl could want.

But for now.... She left him a note before she gathered her bag and left, locking the door behind her.

Robert,

See you on Monday morning. Thanks for a lovely evening.
