I love Virus Alert, too! I *think* it's a style parody of Cake, but I am not familiar with Cake, so I could be wrong. The sounds during WSD make me cringe, too. Have you watched the behind the scenes video? I think they show them making the sounds, altho I haven't watched it myself.

Kristi, "close But No Cigar" is a style parody of Cake. "Virus alert" is a style parody of "Sparks". I only know one song by them called "Cool Places, which they did with Jane Wiedland. Anyway, I love SOL.

Hm, the only raunchy thing about "Close But No Cigar" is the video. I don't think the song itself is raunchy. I'm sure kids could handle just hearing it in concert, but, you never know. He might put the video up while he's singing it. I dunno.
