*sigh of partial relief*
Ok, so I was hoping to be able to post that I had my new MI Driver's License, my new car insurance, renter's insurance, and my car registered, but unfortunately I only have 3 of those things as of right now. But, .....
I GOT MY DRIVER'S LICENSE!!!!!! WAHOOOOOO!!!! *does happy Snoopy charleston dance*
I brought everything that I had previously brought with me, with the addition of my piece of paper that said I passed my GED. It had the name, address, and phone number of the testing center, and after much pleading, they finally said they'd accept that as ID. YAY! Oh, and my picture even looks really good! I went there dressed as if it were school picture day to make sure I got a good one. :) Nothing will ever beat my PA license, though. Most colorful DL EVER!
So today I was able to call Esurance and hand over a large wad of cash (lent to me by my parents, thank His Noodliness) for car and renter's insurance. Tohis afternoon I went back to the SoS office with my temporary prrof of insurance card, hoping that I'd be able to register my car, but they said *surprise surprise* that it wasn't good enough and didn't say that the insurance was for Michigan. I told them I'd be back and left. Now I just have to wait for the real cards, and they better damn well let me register my car. And, on the plus side, we checked into it, and what I want on my vanity plate is available! *huge cheesy grin* Muhahahaha!
Oh, and I think you should know as a side note, I wore my "Damn You All" t-shirt when I went over there today. LOL I thought it would be appropriate. :-D
