Add another thing to the list of stress
2 nights ago, sometime between 1:15 am and 6:30 am, 3 cars on our street got vandalized. 2 of those cars were mine, and Dan's. All 3 cars had their left side mirrors knocked off, but my car has even more extensive damage. They took off the door to my gas tank, and they keyed the ENTIRE left side of my car. We filed a police report immediately, and while Nicky was napping yesterday we took it for estimates. The first place said $1600, and the second said $1400 for repairs. Dan's car isn't really worth fixing... it would cost more to get everything fixed that's wrong with it than the car is actually worth. He is now looking for a new (used) car.
Thanks, drunken college students. Your night of fun is now causing us even more stress than we already had. I really hope insurance pays for your actions.
I can't wait until we move to our new place on 8/15. It's a gaited community. Lake in the Woods, here we come.
