licorice and soda water
Work was canceled today, which for some reason, pissed me off beyond all reason. One might think that I would be happy, but instead I was quite angry!! You see, last night we had about 3 major storms come through, with x-treme rain, and thunder and lightening. So, then this morning, it looked all nice, with patched of sky between the big patches of clouds. Anybody can see that there aren't any more storms coming. So I get up, get ready to go, make my lunch, eat breakfast, and we're almost out the fricken door when the phone rings! See, we have to be there at 6:45, and since we live 15 minutes from town, we leave at 6:30. Well, so Pam (my boss) calls at 6:30 and is all "sorry cara, work is canceled for today!" So, no way in hell could I ever go back to sleep now, seeing as how I've been awake for 45 minutes and I've already showered and such. Grrrr... it makes me so frustrated! Because now, here it is 6:52 and I'm sitting here with absolutely nothing to do, because all normal people in this world are asleep!!!! And I want to be asleep!
