sometimes it hits you
You know There are things that people say that are totally acceptable for everyone but if you really think about it I wonder how we get away with it! Case in point everyone saying stuff like ohh thats GAY (to mean ohhh thats bad or dumb or so) and then they say I'm straight to denote I'm good or fine etc.
It never really bothered me, I know I joke about it but honestly it was just my way of pointing it out. I know its the times we live in because it was perfectly acceptable to incorporate slurrs into everyday language...like back when... To fix something by rigging it was called "nigger rigging" to talk the price down on a major purchase or something was to "Jew" down the price. Both things were perfectly acceptable but to say now would produce gasps and comments about racism or thoughts of anti-semeticism.
I know what I'm about to say isn't exactly the same but something one of my friends said threw me off. We were talking about a friend of ours who considered themselves to be a lesbian, who recently hooked up with a guy, no biggie some of you who know my history know I can't judge. But anyway her comment was I brought her back and with that comment I knew she was joking but then she said I brought her back over to the "good side". If heterosexuality is the good side then whats the bad side. I was of course "not meant that way" but it was subconscious.
So I know most people cant get rid of the taught concept of right and wrong. So now matter how much you people "accept" me... deep down inside...you still think that...
