Hey, Grady! You big fat jerk! I've had enough of this place! I'm not gonna put up with it anymore! Turn Jill back to normal, right now! Everyone else, too! You're not gonna brainwash anyone else ever again once I'm through with you!

I really haven't the slightest idear what ye mean, Relmy. I'm awful busy, so I'm afraid I don't have time for yer pretend games.

[rainbowbrush]

I'm not letting you do this anymore!

[Relm chants and a flurry of lightening bolts rain down at Grady.]

[mayfield_mods]

[Grady blinks. The lightning freezes in place.]

What was that? I'm sorry, me hearing's getting bad in me old age.

[rainbowbrush]

[Have some fireballs, then. Oh, and some icicles, too.]

[mayfield_mods]

[I think you mean confetti and ice cream there, Relmy-poo. Grady brushes some confetti off his shoulder and licks his delicious frozen treat.]

That's an awful useful trick ye've got there, Relmy. It'd be a real shame if ye lost it.

[rainbowbrush]

[With a scream of rage, she rushes at him, hands balled into fists.]

[And yet she's rushing into thin air! Because Grady is suddenly right behind her, as if he had been standing there the whole time.

Relm might feel a slight draining sensation as her magic disappears.]

Sort of like that right there, is what I was trying to say.

[She tries another spell, and nothing happens.]

Give it back! Give it all back! You'd never stand a chance against me if I had my full power!

[Grady speaks. His voice is noticeably devoid of any accent.]

Power is a variable thing, little girl. A man with a gun is more powerful than a man who doesn't, for example. But take the gun away, and the power is gone. A little girl with magic is strong, until that gets taken away.

Weapons can be dismantled. Powers can be stripped. Muscles and limbs can be severed. A strong spirit can be broken. In that sense, nobody is more powerful than anyone else. Some are just more fortunate than others.

So, really, Relm, I guess what I'm trying to say is you just need to ask yourself a simple question...

...do you feel lucky?

[rainbowbrush]

[If Relm wasn't so angry - and slightly scared - she would have paid closer attention to Grady's lack of accent. She barely paused before rushing at him again.]

Of course I do! You can't keep me here forever! I'll show you!

[mayfield_mods]

[Grady doesn't even bother trying to stop her. The little girl's fists slam into him uselessly.]

Oh, but you want to stay here forever, don't you Relm?

[Relm has been brainwashed for exactly six seconds; just long enough to answer the question.]

Of course I do! I love Mayfield!

[She blinks, then lets out a screech of rage and tries to kick Grady in the groin.]

I hate you!

[mayfield_mods]

[Grady warps behind her again, bending down to laugh in her ear.]

Why, Relmy, I thought you loved Mayfield! Really, you're not making any sense at all. You should really be getting home to Jill, don't you think?

Wouldn't want anything to happen to her while you're gone.

[rainbowbrush]

[For a moment, fear is plain in Relm's eyes.]

Don't you dare hurt Jill again!
