Welcome back to my blog brothers and sisters. I appreciate and want to thank you all that you are still following along with me. As you may have already seen - I wanted my first major entry to be on a subject that wouldn't necessarily ruffle anyone's feathers. As someone who has been in the furry fandom since somewhere around early 2001 and who

In the Holy Bible, there is a character known as Uzzah - his story is found in 2 Samuel 6:1-7 and 1 Chronicles 13:9-12. The ark that the LORD had given to the Israelites was in a state of being transported from one location to the other. In biblical understanding the ark is where the Holy of Holies was located and was never to be touched by anyone at any time unless you had the proper clearance by the LORD to do so. In this account, as the ark is being transported by the oxen/animals of the time - there was something that made the animals stumble or become spooked (David and His people may have been celebrating and making a bit of noise at the time - and this may have spooked the animals). The ark suddenly began to tumble - and an Israelite named Uzzah reached his hand out to steady the ark so that it would not fall and hit the ground.
Most people might say that Uzzah was doing a good thing - that he was just trying to make sure that his LORD's dwelling place did not touch the dirty ground...but in his pride he believed that he was more worthy to touch the LORD's dwelling place rather than letting it touch the ground, which the LORD himself created and made as well.
The LORD's wrath was kindled hot and Uzzah was struck down dead on the spot by the LORD. Uzzah's transgression was that he felt it was more righteous for him to catch and steady the ark instead of letting it tumble to the ground. But to the LORD, it would have been better to let the ark touch the ground then to dare a lay a hand on it. It was Uzzah's pride and perhaps his self-righteous way of seeing things as he helped escort the LORD's dwelling place that led him to make this mistake.
So yes, pride and self-righteousness are deadly to the sinner. But pride is, in most cases, far deadlier to an unrepentant sinner than to a Christian who understands and sees themselves as a sinner - and is doing everything within their power on a daily basis to not sin, and to follow Jesus Christ's teachings and instruction.
There are bible verses that instruct those of us who are believers and servants in Christ Jesus to go and share the gospel to those who are currently unsaved and in a state of unrepentant sin. An example of this would be verse Acts 13:47, which states:
'For this is what the Lord has commanded us: “’I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’”'
So I believe that I am acting within the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ as a servant of His that it is my duty to share my experiences as I have been a participant in the furry fandom for much of my life - as well as being in the unique situation where I have also spent a large part of my life identifying as transgender. Although my feelings and views towards the LGBT lifestyle is that it is sin and will separate you from being in an active relationship with the Living God - it absolutely does not mean that I have any bitterness or disdain for anyone who currently chooses to live in this way of life.

At the end of the day - it is entirely up to the reader to decide what is best for them. I understand and respect that.
