Yinon and other 'barbarians'

Yinon is leaving for Israel. This made me get a big knot in my stomach, I was feeling so unsettled. He assured we'll get a qualified teacher and that he wasn't a proper one. (oh, yinon, darling, you missed the point)

For the last half an hour, we had a little 'party' and apologies were made for the lack of vodka. He called a few people outside, one by one to show them a word and then we mimed it while the others guessed. My word was yam. Miming a sea is easy, yes.

After the lesson, we were standing in the corridor. he was offering 'strong' cigarettes from an odd, foreign land. ;-) I asked him a bunch of stuff about Israel and he talked about it at length. He's going to Be'er Sheva which was 'safe until last month', to university. He gave his email addy, when going to Israel to definitely email him. He repeated that 2 more times. He was being all sweet and worldly and the lessons won't be close to cool without him. Bah!

The gmina offers free trips to Israel for 14 days, as birthright, which are apparently funded by two rich men in the US. hehe But I won't even be here for that.

I must learn to deal with a changing situation a little better than I did yesterday. I lost my appetite for ice-cream and the things I had my eye on. Change is a good thing, embrace it (or kick it with a steel-capped shoe and tell it to never come back). Aaanyway. The point is: Go and open the door, at least there'll be a draught. Damn HSC Miroslav Holub text coming back to me. It seems I took something out of school.

I bought a very cool sweater and a very cool beanie. Woo! I bought them before the lesson, obviously, the knot was too tight to do anything after. Love. A terrible thing. *giggles*

My sister digs Peter Pan boy, and I don't mean my student, I mean the actor! I have to see that movie, only to check out the boy my sister has a crush on. [prejudices multiply enormously] I can cheer myself up by knowing that famous celebrities such as Queenie and Romi also dig him. Dis-tur-bing. CREEPY is the fact that my sister is growing up. Boo.

Didn't get to see Mój Nikifor yet, but I saw I, Robot a while back and I don't think I reported on that. It was really good, minus Will Smith jumping down those stairs, like he's the shit (take away 'the'). No, no, I quite like Will Smith from what I've seen when he wasn't acting. He's great. I want a Sonny. ]:-)
