I Have Ridden The Wings Of Darkness
I guess I should update. It has been awhile. Well for everyone who dosent know I am now a Corpmember in the California Conservation Corps!! YAY FOR JON!! I am on Crew 70 the emergency crew. We go out on any emergency that could possibly happen in the state of California. Floods, Forest Fires, Floods, Earthquakes, ect... We may be going down to New Orleans but my Crew Leader Tina dosent think we are. But she said it is a possiblitiy so I got my emergency pack ready last night and it only cost about 200$ LOL!!! Tara spend the weekend at my house and I really miss her. We woke up this morning around 5:30 so she could get to work. She went out on Spike. Spikes are 8 day camping trips where you hike into the Grade (The place were you will be working) then hike back every night when the job is finished for the day. After Spikes you get 6 days off. So thats kinda nice. In a couple weeks both Yreka Crews, 70 and 69, are going out on a 4 day unity Spike with a Crew or 2 from Redding. That will be fun! So far I really like my job. I work with a lot of cool people. Its hard work but it is worth it. The CCC offers me classes to get my Highschool Diploma that I have to do. That is really cool. I can also work towards a couple College Scholarships. Which I am most definatley going to do! The CCC has really opened up a lot of doors for my and I am really excited to see what the future holds for me in the CCC and what the future holds instore for Tara and I. Well I better go to bed or I am going to be WAY tired at work tomorrow.
