Lolwut? A Gundam post from me?
OH WAIT, scratch that. Innovados.

I thought people were exagerrating when they said that this episode had GN rainbow sparkles that cured everything. Disappointingly enough, they were less off the mark than I expected. GN Space Rainbow has seemingly resolved the storylines between Soma and Andrei, Billy and Sumeragi, and Saji and Louise, as well as making great headway in healing Allelujah and Marie. And to cap it all off, it cured Lasse of his GN AIDS! GN particles! They're magically delicious~!
None of this doesn't make sense. I know that all the effects of GN Bankai Trans-Am Burst (sudden mid-battle upgrade accompanied by determined yelling?) are well within the established capabilities of GN particles, but man. That was just too neat. And I found the reconciliation(?) between the characters too hamhanded for my liking, but lol Sunrise. At least from my unexpert POV, the characterization looks fine, if cheesy. I have issues with the Somarie/Andrei conversation, but I'll chalk that up to GN hax.
By the way... Tieria not dying, Regene not dying, and how that's all connected into Veda--huh? Did I miss something? Is this sparkle hax again?
And lol to Aeolia's plans. Unifying the world so that humanity can be united under U.N. Spacy one banner in order to expand into space and be prepared for aliens and "the dialogues to come". Add in Marina's magical singing (LISTEN TO HER SONG!), and we're setting the stage for SDF-Macross! Oh well, as campy as it sounds, it fits the show and its premise, so I won't complain too much.
But that's just me being overly critical. I think what I was supposed to do was FUCK YEAH at Lyle (finally) killing Ali and at 00 Raiser pooping rainbows like there's no tomorrow. Speaking of which, the latter scene was set to some nice music. I approve. Will be looking forward to OST 4 for this track alone.
So we end the episode with many questions: What will being a true Innovator mean for Setsuna? Is Tieria ever going to be corporeal again? What's Regene's final JUST AS PLANNED? Are Hilling and Revive ever going to be useful? Why does Ribbons' Gundam appear to have Tau drives on its arms, of all places? Isn't "Ribbons Gundam" the least intimidating name for a final boss Gundam ever? (Answer: Yes.) Will I ever be able to listen to I LOOOVE YOU, I TRUUUUST YOU again without giggling? (Answer: No.) Seriously...aliens? And last, but not least, is Marina going to sing again? (Signs point to "yes".)
Last episode next week! Here's to hoping for a satisfying conclusion!
