Finally. We're about to get to some action. It's been a while, hasn't it? And hey look--Roy's crowd is becoming relevant again! \o/
Olivia continues to be badass. Hawkeye continues to be badass and oh-so-hot. God, I love the women of FMA. They're strong and capable of standing on their own without their men to come save them. Yeah, Winry's sitting at home in Resembool right now, but I hope they bring her into the story again. She is too awesome to play the part of "the princess waiting atop yon lofty tower". I mean, shit...she hits stuff with wrenches. And it's well-established that wrenches and their wielders are awesome (see: Graham, Spanner).
At this point, I probably don't care about Hohenheim as much as I should. But, it was nice to see his interaction with Ed. I wonder how often he gets angry. I figure he blames himself for all that's happened and will happen to Amestris and that he pretty much feels he's lost the right to be angry at anyone besides Father. And he's so very mellow compared to his crotchety son. Guess immortality does that to you. Moreover, his crying reminded me that Ed hasn't cried a non-crazy cry in a long time. Was the last time with Nina? Don't remember, really.
Ed gets his red coat back! I'm actually not too excited about this. I like the black jacket; it looks classy and makes him look older and less like he's 15.

Finished Mononoke today. What a fabulous series. Beautiful and mysterious, with juuuuust enough freakiness to keep you glued to the screen. I don't think a review would encapsulate the essence of How This Series Is Awesome, so I'll leave it by saying that if you want a slow-paced show with Japanese horror stories, you should definitely watch Mononoke. Even if you don't want a slow-paced show with Japanese horror stories, you should still watch it because it's so damn pretty (or at least I thought so). Guess I pretty much have to watch Ayakashi now.
Oh, and for how little speaking you did in this series, Sakurai, I'm such a whore for your voice. Hell, I'm thiiiiiis close | | to watching Junjou Romantica and KKM just to hear you. (Or maybe I'll just rewatch the second half of Tutu.) Goddamn.
