Well I write this from my loaner laptop, cuz yesterday, like a douchebag, i spilled diet pepsi all over my laptop. Well, clearly, it fucked things up and now my old hard drive is fried. So i brought it to Tech Support, and after an hour, i got a new hard drive in this loaner for now, and an awesome converstation with the tech support guy. he was so cool! BUT sad news is, i lost everything that was on my old computer. Music, pictures, my interactive Psychology Book, and 2 weeks of notes and assignments. I guess it could be worse. I didn't feel half as stupid when he told me about how some idiots bring in their pissed on or thrown up on laptops. From now on, i will sip my beverages FAR FROM my desk.
Other than that, it's been going pretty well! It took no time at all to swing back into college life, it was dearly missed. My roommate's name is Vickie, and although she's a freshman, she's pretty cool! We get along quite well, and have a lot in common. She's on her phone much less than when i first moved in, and I'm not scared to yell at her to get off her phone at 1am when i'm trying to sleep. She's not a smelly one, she's not messy, not loud in the morning, not a snorer, not an alcoholic, PRETTY sure not a sex a holic. that has yet to be determined. (She does often talk about her "cuddlebuddies" but i cant figure out if she's slept with them yet.)
Classes are ok. PolySci is somewhat intersting, I have a crazy lil asian lady who loves politics way too much. So the 50 minutes don't drag on. Computer Apps is cool, but it sucks now that i have to redo all my assingments due to the "computer crash of '06." Public Relations is fun due to all the cool kids in my class, and its not that bad. I have prof Weis again, the man who reminds me of Michael moore. Our project should be fun tho. Sociology- I HATE THAT CLASS. without my laptop i surely would die. The prof is lame, the people in my class are lame (minus rachel of course) and the content bores me to death. Psychology isnt that bad on the other hand, probably cuz i had it in high school so its not that bad. And french, well i havent decided if i like it or not. The prof speaks french the whole time, and its really easy to not pay attention. Plus she grades EVERY DETAIL on her assingments, so its just a change from a prof who only graded exams. A TON of reading this semester, but there's hardly a lazy day!
I've also gotten into the swing of rollerblading, I'm getting ready to go do that as I type. I love blading around the lakes, its fun and a good workout. I can do the 2 mile lake in a little over 10 minutes now! yay. I'm also planning on starting the water aerobics class they offer in the evenings. Its another good way to get into shape, my mom was in the best shape of her life when she did that, so maybe it'll do me some good! French Club is startin up again, so thats fun! Good times!
And as for the partying goes...well lets say that for the past month, i've been going out every weekend. Last weekend was at Jennifer Vry's appartment, and the weekend before that was at Jamie's house. This weekend? who knows?!
I won't be home again till the last weekend in September, but if anything interesting happens before that i'll let you all know!
