Troubled...
I am in a really serious situation right now. I seem to date girls like water. (margeaux, no jokes lol) I have been talking to this one girl for about 6 months now and she wants me to come and visit her in Washington. If I go, she has a job waiting for me there and a place to live. I would move to the other side of the damn country for this person

In the beginning of this post, you noted that you go through girlfriends rather rapidly. This is probably a red flag you should consider in this decision. I realize you want things to work out with this girl. However, consider this: Few people start a serious relationship *expecting* that it won't work out. If you had not been going through so many relationships recently, this would be less of a cause for concern. Nevertheless, you yourself have noted that it's your current pattern, and in a post not long ago, you expressed your joy at not being "tied down." At your age, I think this is completely normal and appropriate.
This is why, as your mother, and since you asked, I would caution you strongly about this move. Going there for a week to get a feel for the situation is fine. I just recommend that you don't make any decisions until you have had a few weeks *after* your visit to really mull over what you observed about not just the girl, but the community to which you are thinking of moving.
