summary: doojoon doesn’t have any experience on being a leader.
a/n: for an anon in kpopficwangst who requested a leader!doojoon.
first k-pop related fic, so much fail.

Doojoon doesn’t have any experience when it comes to being a leader.
He doesn’t know what to do when the members have arguments (Junhyung and Dongwoon fighting over the words they’re putting in their lyrics or Yoseob and Hyunseung over the remote) and turns to him for a settlement. Sometimes his advice goes wrong and it doesn’t end as he planned (the two members refusing to talk to each other).
He doesn’t know how to tell the members bad news (their schedule being cancelled), because he just couldn’t handle the disappointed look on their faces, so he ends up going to the manager for help instead. He knows he can’t keep asking the manager for help, so slowly, he learns.
Doojoon does, however, know what to do, the right things to say to keep Hyunseung with them, despite his fear of attention. He knows his members well enough to make them make up after they fight, sometimes right before they go on stage.
He knows when fear or uncertainty is eating up on Yoseob, even if he’s trying to hide it. Doojoon may not realize it, but the slight pat on the back or his smile was enough to keep Yoseob confident. He still thinks it was the speech their manager gave them that gave his spirit back.
There are a lot of things Doojoon doesn’t know about being a leader. But he’s learning, with the help of his BEAST family.
