truthfully me and neil did wanna see your play last night, i booked the night off work and trecked it miles to canton on foot to the chapter... even arriving early enough to have a drink...but then neil went to the toilet and saw you there and you were going to the bar so we thought we had time for another... we were only a coupla minutes late when we went upstairs (a little tipsy as had been to the pub previously) but all the doors to the theatres were closed. walked past a little classroom where people had papers and it looked like a lecture, past a room full of old people doing yoga then to the last room with the door closed and no window - must be this one i confidentally said to neil and pushed it open. room full of bemused people turn round and look at me - red faced i say sorry and close the door quickly but the woman by the door opened it again and tried to beckon us in. er, sorry we're looking for the patrick jones thingy i said she gave us directions but we got lost again. eventually went back to the poster being 10mins late now and found out it was the first classroom and a script in hand performance. it was a little room with the light on packed with ppl (about 20 but filled the room) and just 2 people and a table acting out front. there was *no way* i was walking in there late and having everyone looking particularly as me and neil had booze not scripts so we just went to the bar instead.

so sorry patrick, my heart was in the right place and am sure yr new play is wonderful and inspiring... just i'm very disorganised and didnt make it
