Today I burnt my fingers trying to drill metal with a broken drill piece. Then I had to go play accordion, using my singed fingers, ouch. At the end of that class, I usually feel like I tried to get rid of my fingerprints by sanding them down. It's unpleasant. This week I've felt really busy and I want to not be busy, but still get everything done. I finished my first song on accordion and now I'm learning "Red River Valley", which I was interested to hear my dad can play on pedalsteel guitar.
I saw the film festival animated shorts on Monday, the pottery one was good. I was surprised the character referred to as the "ancient, skilled creature" was actually a creature. Cold Sassy Tree has crazy language. It doesn't really wet my palate. Which is a bummer at 400 pages. Could'n we just go'n take a trip to that there sassafras land? I think I should write my next essay in lit. like that, as an obvious plea for a future absence of southern texts.
On Tuesday, I walked into 1st period at 7:58 and was counted as on time. Then, next period, I got a 98 on an art project. So things have been pretty nice. I got paid for my pockets too. Also, I'm hoping that glazing pots is similar to painting, in that if I first apply a red glaze and then a yellow one, I'll have an orange pot.
Going through my trip pictures, I noticed that I took a lot of door pictures, with some window and floor pictures interspersed. I have a substantial amount of them on my photobucket (raina2027), but I haven't yet edited the Biennale/miscellaneous pictures. Probably a maximum of 30 more will be added.
