This will probably be a short post. I'm finished the volunteer portion of trip. I wasn't sad about leaving the village because I would miss the kids, but just with the thought that most of them, if not all of them will never get out of that situation. It will take generations for there to be any real hope for them. But enough about of the depressing stuff.

Today is our last day in Cabarete. The first day we were here was just a free day. The next day we went surfing. I don't think our instructors were that good. I had to use the fat board and they were telling me that it was an expensive fin on it and if I got too close to shore to jump off. Well, I spent the whole time worring about the stupid fin that I'd start to get up and then jump right off because I was afraid to scrap the bottom. The rest of the group was finishing where I started and I asked for them to take me out farther because I kept worring about it and not standing up all the way. I did like twice, scraped the bottom once and hit the bottom the other. I would love to try it again. I also got hit in the leg with the board and have a huge bruise, I wish I had something more glamourous so say how I got it, like I was head butted by a shark, but I just say I was attacked by a surf board. The instructor told me after that not to walk behind it, I wanted to tell him that I had already discovered that.

Yesterday we went to 27 Waterfalls. It's a bunch of litte waterfalls and cliffs to jump off of. It was a bit embarassing to go up them because they had a hard time getting me up them, because we had to go up them first and then come back down. It was super cool going down. There were a couple natural waterslides and cliffs to jump off of. The biggest was 25 ft and I got spanked on the way down. I landed on my butt, it hurt a bit but it went away.

This morning we went wind surfing. I did alright with it, but would have done better if I had more upperbody stength. I would get the sail up and it would fall down, then I would pick it up again, then it would fall again and I would sit on the board because I was too tired to pick it up again. So I would take a break and try again. This afternoon we went snokeling. It was a lot more interesting than scuba divng in Lake Superior, but it made me wish I was scuba diving instead because I'm a floater so I'm not any good at skin diving because I don't sink. I need alot of lead to sink. So that's been the adventure tour so far. Only 10 days left.
