Morning. You all have to speak up. Was at the Southern Culture On The Skids concert last night at the Chameleon in Lancaster. Great show, man. The opening act was the Atomic Mosquitos - guys playing surf music while wearing mosquito masks (no, I'm not making this up) and a dude with a THEREMIN!!

SCOTS did everything. They went from their very early stuff to the most recent. They even did "Goo Goo Muck" (a cover of a song the Cramps covered). It was Mary's birthday so she got a cake while onstage. There was a couple celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary at the show so the band had them get on stage and dance. (That could have been my parents. Kind of a tear jerker moment for me there.) They had a new to me dude in the band, Cousin Roy. He's a big dude who played, uh, alternative percussion such as a metal tray (played like a wash board), maracas and a downspout. Looks like someone I could be related to out in them thar hills of WV. (The band is from NC so they're Appalachian Americans. LOL) After the show, he walked back to the bar to get something to drink and shook my hand. He called me "baby doll".
For their encore, the SCOTS had a "Theremin Death Match" between some Professor Somethingthefuckerother and the guy from Atomic Mosquitos. They played "Links Lung" while the theremin guys went at it. Please note that the guy in black (from AM) actually PLAYS the theremin while the other guy kind of goes for the sound effects. Here is a video from earlier this year....

cornerofmadness, I thought you'd like this.
On a totally unrelated note, here's today's comic strip.
http://art-fumes.livejournal.com/99471.html You get to see why I draw furries instead of people: I can't draw people. That's my friend MCH as the melanistic leopard. Yes, I asked permission to put her in the comic.
