Well, here I am. Just a bit of a sore throat.
OMG! It's sleeting outside! WTH? Was this supposed to happen? Weather Channel app! You lied to me!
Yesterday, I was lying on the bed, playing a video game, relaxing before going to sleep, and I get a text message marked URGENT. It's from Barb... my rubber stamping/lab geek buddy. She's been having some health issues and so has her mom so I immediately think one or both of them are dead or dying. Flip open my phone and the message is: "Where is the volume control on the iPad??" OK. Her work issued her an iPad to give demonstrations of their analyzers with. Maybe she's having trouble with a demo. I tell her what she needs to know. Her reply? "Thanks! No I can get the new app I downloaded, Cat Piano, to play! It takes any song and makes it sound like a cat meowing!" *Head desk* So even my most normal, run of the mill type of friends are absolute freaks. Great! At least I fit in, ya know.
Thought of TWO comic strip ideas today. That's a good day. One I may do as a "Whiff" as it could be easily done in one panel.
One thing about this whole FA/stalking victim brouhaha is that everyone is totally missing the issue. Am I the only one who noticed that? Yeah, the mods at FA dropped the ball on handling the situation (not surprising, as they aren't professionals, most are volunteers) but that is not the problem. The REAL issue is that there is a nut-job who stalks women and is very threatening. THAT'S the problem. Trolling a person online is a totally different thing from physically stalking someone (the guy has followed her around). Trolling is ignore the twatwaffle. Stalking is time to call the cops. Does anyone know if stalking is a felony? Should be. OK. I got out my Google-Fu Skills.

Aggravating factors may include: possession of a deadly weapon, violation of a court order or condition of probation/parole, victim under 16 years, or same victim as prior occasions."

Utter bullshit. I could fume and rant for a long time over this type of thing. It is unfair and unjust. Those are things that really just piss me off. I wish I knew how to change that (the unjust stuff, not my anger). I swear, that if I ever win the lottery, I will set up a safe haven shelter for victims of abuse be they male or female, with or without kids, jobs or no jobs. I will have several guards to protect the people inside the haven, those being sheltered and those employed there. I don't want another daughter to find her aunt and mom lying dead on the floor of their home like what I did.
