Type fast! Got appointment with PCP (primary care phys.) at 10:00. (Just a hi, how are you type of thing. Nothing big.) This is going to be a garbled mess of bouncing topics but I'm rushing. My apologies.
Watched a murder/kill people/ true crime show yesterday. The story took place in St. Albans, Kanawha County, WV. Since, of course, I am crocheting and not paying attention really, I hear the narrator say, "...in Saint All-bans, WV". I look up saying, "What the fu--?" Oh, heh. Yeah, Saint Albans. As in, it's pronounced St. All-bins, not All-bans. And when he tried to say Kanawha County - OH LORD ALMIGHTY! Nearly as bad as when Mickey Mantle called it Kan-naw-whaa. No, sugar, it's kah-naw-uh. Thanks. LOL Every state has a city/town that isn't pronounced the way it's spelled. In PA, we have Lancaster but it's pronounced Lan-kist-er and Lebanon which is said as Leb-nan. Oh, and near St. Albins is Hurricane, pronounced her-i-kuhn. (And near Nitro but it's said how it's spelled.) In GA, there is an Albany but is said as Al-ban-ee.
The true crime show was about a woman killed by her piece of crap cousin. I do have to give WV one thing, if you are a sex offender and you do not register as one, that is a FELONY. Damn! All right!
Work was whatever.
And in the LOCAL news, "A New Oxford man accused of raping a 12-year-old child in August blames "demonic possession" for the alleged act, according to statements he made in Adams County court this week." Oh yeah. That's a vallid defense strategy there. *Rolls eyes*
