Had to stay late at work. Fire extinguisher training class. No biggie. The video they showed us should have had, like, the coolest soundtrack as it was so VERY 1970s... but it didn't have any music. I was hoping for a waka-jawaka guitar. :S The video was about flashover and how it is so dangerous. Dudes! Seriously!? I watch engineering disaster shows for fun, k. I totally GET flashover. (This is where a small fire makes a room so super heated that furniture and stuff spontaneously ignites into a HUGE fire.) *Insert "Beavis and Butthead" giggling and "Fire" here.)
Eek has a slow leak in his front-right tire. Gotta get that fixed. Also gotta get him inspected for the year. Ugh. Got two doctor visits. Busy week.
The one supervisor I had posted on Facebook that her father passed away Sunday. :( I miss her. I also wish I knew her address so I could send her a card. Maybe I can send some flowers for the funeral. She's a little younger than I and her dad was around my dad's age. He had esophageal cancer, though. That's one of those fast moving kind. My uncle LMB "Sam" had that. Not good.
We were busy at work. Not that OMG I'm dying type of busy but a nice, steady pace. Had a guy with a positive cardiac test. I called the ER doc and his answer was, "Huh. Imagine that" so nonchalant. *Rolls eyes* I shouldn't complain. When I had a critical value on a patient Friday, this same doc asked me, "Who now?" YOUR PATIENT! (Actually, when the entire ER is full, there is a PA helping so the ER doc may not have been in to see the pt. but the PA has. The PA doesn't have a special log in like the doctors do.)
Oh. I have to tell you this. It's fun. In our computer system at work, the doctor's log in names are the first three letters of their surname plus the first two letters of their last name. So, for my journal, I'd be Oubra. Cool, isn't it!? Blanre (my real name) is not so much. Every time I release results for the doctors Bilme (bill me) and Crakr (cracker), I get the giggles. Yes, those are real doctors. Ha! It's also an easy way to create character names for writing or cartooning. Evada is COM (LJ user). Bacea is Foxonian. Blada is my brother. Blapa is my dad. Blasa is my mom. Blado is my aunt DSB. Oh, her son would be Blaal. That needs an apostrophe in there, Bla'al. Now it's Klingon!
