Yesterday, I had my annual OB-GYN exam. God, I hate that. But I know I have to do it - especially at my age since I've never had kids and haven't had a normal pap smear in a good ten years. :S Yeah, with all that considered with my genetic history (meaning, cancer cancer everywhere), I'm just waiting to get the call about cervical cancer. :P Hoping for another year of "abnormal pap but nothing to worry about" diagnosis. Evidently, I never told my OB-GYN doc that my mom was murdered as when I mentioned it yesterday, she had to give me a hug. WTH? OK, yeah, I'm all for a free hug but it's weird to get it from a doctor. Granted, I have been going to this woman for, what, nearly 20 years. She's kind of like an older aunt.
Then I went to see
Catarzyna over in Lancaster, PA. We exchanged gifts (birthday and Xmas). Ironically, we gave each other necklaces that we had made. AWESOME! Sign of a good friend, they give you a variation on the same gift you give them. LOL I also got a Webkins frog. I may register him, I don't know. After the gift exchange and cuddles with the cats and weenor (Oscar, the dachshund) we went for lunch.
We went to
http://www.sukhothairestaurant.com/lunch-menu.php where I ordered the Apple Salad with grilled chicken, crispy rolls and a glass of Thai iced tea. OMG. It was super good!
I'm still full. Just fabulous food. The eatery had unique decor, too. The dining area was made to look like you were in a courtyard of a village and the lighting was provided by large lilypads with lights hanging down. Super cool.
After that, we hit Ollie's Outlet. I was good. I didn't buy anything there. She got a carpet for the living room though. I love Ollie's. Then we went over to the Park City Mall. Yes, we stopped at Build-A-Bear. I made a little brown bear that has mottled fur. I put him in Army camo and bought a helmet for him. His name is General Complaint. Since I am Commander in Chief, I can still tell him where to invade. LOL Teavana was open, of course, so I had to buy some tea. I got white tea with peach. OMG. You know, with my love of tea, I bet I could quit drinking tea and start smoking pot and save money! (Joke, folks.) (Another joke->) That's not what herbal tea is made from. It's evil. I'm going to go brew some in a minute. I went to Books-A-Million (
Catarzyna's foot was bothering her) and purchased the latest collections of "Pearls Before Swine" and "Dilbert" as well as the latest by my favorite true crime author, Harold Schechter. :)
I left her place after our shopping frenzy. It was fun. The drive home went by a lot faster than the drive out. Always is. I came home, hooked on the shawl I'm making and fiddled around here.
Today, I'm not going to do diddly shit except sit around the house and rest, crochet, then draw a comic strip.
