(no subject)
Waiting for Dad to get out of the bathroom so I can wash my hair then prep for work tonight.
I put out all the plants yesterday, including the one NJE gave me. It was about 3/4 of the way dead but it's a set of bulbs so I just buried them and we'll see if anything comes up next year. I got out some of my old pots and hey! - they still had dirt in them. I just scavenged dirt from other pots and set out the two flavors of mint and the lavender in them. Digging in the flower beds out front is like coal mining. Every spadeful was full of rocks. WTH? I felt like Charlie Brown at Halloween!!
Came in. Tidied up. Watched TV. Lots of Kentucky Derby/Triple Crown prep races were on. Hansen ran, got second. That horse is just freaky to look at (he's white as in bleached looking). Dunahall or something like that won that race. Bodemeister just stunk up the Arkansas Derby - winning by many lengths. The Grand National (something like that) is a prestigious, LONG horse race in England - it's also a steeple chase. I hate those races. Dad said the race started with about 40 horses; finished with fifteen. The pre-race favorite had to be euthanized as he suffered horrible injuries in the first jump. Jockeys were falling off everywhere. *Shivers* I don't watch those. Watching people and animals get hurt/killed just doesn't seem entertaining. (I don't watch NASCAR anymore either. Tired of people getting killed, people being stupid, and so on. A lot on the stupid part.)

Dad's friend Trouter stopped by. Nice guy... but as Dad says, he seems a little on the "wrapped too tight" side. Has a beautiful voice.
I also started an art project for the Anthrocon art show. I may not be doing as many WHIFFS to supplement the comic. It's one of those "Further Proof That I'm Insane" projects. I'm doing a new beaded illustration of a blue-ringed octopus. Those things are so cute... lethal, but cute. I got the eye done and some of the black lines. I did one before but I don't like it. I did it as if it were a tv and it is hard to see what the hell the image is. Photos as I go possibly.
