Ever hear "The Twelve Pains of Christmas" by Bob Rivers (I think that's the artist)? The one that is like "The Twelve Days of Christmas" but it's sung by several people bitching about the holidays. (Best part, the guy who's hanging the lights, "Now why da Hell are dey blinking?!") I'm now at the part in the song of where the one guy is thending Chrithtmath cardth, "I don't even know thethe people!"
My night at work was super shitty. Crazy busy - made worse by having the hospitalist who has to ALWAYS add on tests... effectively doubling my workload. I just love having to run one patient twice. :S Plus, I'm still not fully understanding what is up with Phleb. She went to the ER for a blood draw at 2330... and I didn't see her again until nearly a quarter to one. She drew one patient. WTH? So I'm doing her job as well as mine. Also, second shift left me a helluva mess. OMG. It was just 100% suckage. I did get to see JKL and she made me laugh. That's always good. So, ok, maybe 99% suckage.
To spoil myself, I went and got me some chicken and taters. I thought while I was there, just for gits and shiggles, I'd get a scratch-off lottery ticket. Hm. Let's see - find the ornament and you win the prize listed underneath. Scratch, scratch. Hey! I got an ornament... for $5! Just paid for the lottery ticket. Hey! I got ANOTHER ornament... for $5! Food's paid for! Keep going.... in total I won $40. That's the most I've ever won in any form of lottery or raffle. Even those things where you're guaranteed to win... I get a sticker or some lousy piece of crap. So, YAY for me.
Came home, got Dad to drive me over to the garage and picked up Eeq. They put in a new alternator, did a grease job and oil change as well as giving him a bath... all for $520. YAY. I have money left over! :D
So, all in all, let's just say today was a wash.
Now, back to filling out these @#$%ing cards. Ugh.
