Good morning.

The comic strip is up. Based on what occurred yesterday. Power was out for several hours. Even knocked out the phone service for a bit. Freaky, tremendous storm.

I drew two comics for some reason. I have one for next week. :D

Started beading a skull and flames bracelet. Should be awesome when completed... maybe.

I received my order of beads from Fire Mountain. Very nice. Not sure I like the Ming Tree brand much - beads aren't of a high quality (lots of blobs, not beads) but they were cheap. The boxes they come in also pop open so I had to hunt up several rubber bands. I only got two of them, so it's not like the whole order is a bust. The rest are Dynomites - they aren't uniform in size/ shape like Delicia beads (kind used for weaving) but they are great for embroidery. The have a selection so I can pick and choose the size bead for the place where I need it. It's sad that my favorite bead business went out several years ago. :(

Yes, I know Border's is closing. I am not going to pick the corpse. Sorry. Too many freaks, not enough circuses when it comes to that crap. I do hope that we get a bookstore, though. With Border's closing, it means that York, PA, is without a real bookstore again. DAMMIT! I've read in the paper that Books-A-Million is looking at the store space. When in Lancaster, I talked to a manager at the B-A-M store there and he mentioned that the chain was looking at a place in York - this was months ago. I don't know if I like B-A-M, though, as they don't carry new stuff. They seem as if they are a closeouts type of business, rather than a seller of the newest best sellers. Every one I've ever been in has seemed to be a chaotic mess of disorder, stocking only a few of each book. Sigh. At least we would have a bookstore, though.

books, art fumes, reading, bead embroidery, beading, artsy fartsy
