Be glad that I am *NOT* a nurse. If you came into my ER with the chief complaint of "there is something in my stomach", I would reply, "Yes, it's called 'food and stomach acid'. Now get the F out of my emergency room!" WTH is wrong with people?! I asked the phleb was the patient serious and she said yes. She said that she was so close to telling the patient, "It's called 'pregnancy', dear". Thankfully, nutjob patient is not pregnant. I wonder why the hell she was there. She was claiming stomach pain... but we did a wet prep on her. Huh? Haven't had any naked patients for a while, though, so I guess I shouldn't be too upset.

I did have a productive day: got three ideas for comic strips written. :D

No, I did NOT look up my test results from yesterday. One reason is that it is a HIPPA violation and I could get fired for that. Second, I would probably misinterpret them and make me worry even worse.

Am I the only person who doesn't like these "docu-drama" reality TV shows? Seriously. I do not want to relax by watching someone else work. Work is work and it isn't very damned entertaining. That's why they have to PAY YOU to do it! Also, can you tell the networks are REALLY starting to scrape the bottom of the barrel?? I mean really. What schmuck thought up "Deathwish Movers"?? I just don't see the appeal. I only watch one show that could be considered of this genre... and only because I like to laugh at the guys as they scare the piss out of themselves (and, sadly, there isn't much else on TV at that time). Also, anyone else notice that most jobs featured on the show are ones that NO ONE wants to do? Ax-Men, Ice Road Truckers, Gold Diggers, Coal, DW Movers. Is this because people want to feel superior to these folks who do backbreaking/scary labor? "I have a college degree so I push pencils instead of trees." If so, that type of people can bite me. (I come from farmer stock. My grandfather worked a full-time job AND ran a farm.)

work, morons, tv
