The drama at work is at a stand still until the co-worker comes back from being sick. Not sure what is going on with her health. She has a lot of people on pins and needles/stressed out so work isn't fun.
Tonight was insane at work. Very busy. The ER was full most of the night. We were literally treating people in the hallways of the ER (for things like ear ache, where a patient doesn't have to change into a gown/etc). Have a patient who was drunk and had taken opiates. Many chest pain and dyspnea patients. A baby with RSV. Another baby with the flu and a crap load of lymphocytes - an indicator of leukemia (he's only 2 months old! WAAH! I hate seeing things like that). Several fall victims - many with lacerations. Ugh. When I left this morning, we had 18 patients in the ER and 15 of them were boarders (waiting on a room upstairs). We don't have many more open spaces. We have over 80 of our 100 +/- beds full.
