Can you see what is left of my patience? I can't either. I think the entire nursing staff of the hospital ate an extra large bowl of stupid for breakfast. Towards the end of my shift, I was literally cringing whenever the phone rang. ARGH! Hopefully, tomorrow will be better. Or, the nurses will have a better grasp of what is going on. I can't do tests if I don't have a specimen. I can't do tests on a specimen if it isn't the correct quantity. If a specimen that needs to be refrigerated and it has been sitting on the counter since 2230 and you JUST brought it to me at 0430 the next morning, yeah, that isn't going to be valid. Also, if you want to know if the patient had testing yesterday, why can't YOU look it up in the computer instead of having me or my phlebotomist do it??? That type of thing all night long. All. Night. Long. ARGH Again!
I didn't do a damned thing yesterday. I was reading but kept falling asleep. Decided to say screw it and I went to bed. Der.
Am now going to go soak my head and then package up the pickle. Was just too tired to do that yesterday. I will then ask Dad to mail the package.
