(no subject)
Work was craptastic. Busy. Was in micro and blood bank. Our lady with cancer and the 0.05 white blood cell count has been admitted to the hospital. I issued two units of packed red cells and two units of fresh frozen plasma for her. She must be swollen to the size of a blimp by now! Poor thing. Our patient who had to be resuscitated on Sunday night/ Monday morning has been declared brain dead. His mom hasn't come to terms with that yet. :( And the idiot who routinely overdoses on children's cough syrup was back. Every month he comes in. Sometimes even more than once. It's just totally stupid. He's not employed so he has no money and no insurance yet he does this shit all the time. Pisses me off. Well, not usually but when I'm already having a crappy night and then this moron comes in - it just caps off the crap. :P
On my way home this morning, I was listening to a local radio station's news report. All I heard were snippets: Graydon Road, Springfield Township, fire, 20 fire fighting units called out, the coroner had to come, too. That's near my house!! I nearly crapped my pants. I called home to see if Dad was ok. Yes. So, it wasn't our house or my Dad who was found dead. Holy shit. On the way home, I swung around that way to see whose house it was but the road was still blocked by fire police. Found information about the fire online. It isn't anyone I know personally, but a person whom I'd wave at as I drove by. :(
I had to stop over at brother ArthurPod's to check on his cat. Nearly got knocked over. MEOW MEOW MEOW! I fed him and he scarfed it all down like he was starving. *Rolls eyes* Right, Bob. I put out an extra packet and ferreted it away in a box so he will have to hunt for it... and not eat it all at once.
Dad is off to go to WV. Time to watch TV in my underwear! WOOO! (Heh)
I may go to bed early. I'm tired. :S
