Well, it's supposed to rain today and all weekend. Crap. There goes my opportunity to dig holes (yes, I must have some dog/canine species bias since I dig). :S
I did get the "Mullets of the Animal Kingdom I and II" finished. OMG. These are each a page of little illustrations (about 2 to 3 inches tall by about the same wide) that I drew, inked and then watercolor painted. The amount of noodling I did on these things is intense. I have to admit that I do have favorites: the catfish, the llama, bullfrog and skunk. I don't do commissions for other people - usually just friends. I don't have a lot of experience drawing characters outside of the ones I created. These little portraits were a bit of a challenge. I did enjoy playing with them, however. Some of them make me laugh.

http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3757450 For the record, I don't like the mullet hairstyle. It makes the wearer - regardless of race, age, or gender - appear to be a Class One A Doofus (except when the style was fashionable - now that it's so so SO far out of style you get the aforementioned classification). That is why I think it is so amusing/funny when placed on an animal.
