First off, a no-love letter:
Dear Idiot Down the Street,
Thanks for shooting off all of your fireworks this evening while I was trying to sleep. Everyone in the neighborhood knows I work third shift. Thus, I will be giving you a phone call to discuss the fireworks sometime around, oh, 3:00 am.
Talk to you then,
Me.

There are days when I am ashamed to admit I am part of my fandom. Today is one of those days. Don't wanna talk about it. Those who read this that are in the fandom probably already have heard about it. (Deals with Fur Affinity.)

Things to make you say, "WTF?!"

The remark of "Soon to be Boyz On The Hood" cracked me up. Also, all of the comments about something similar to this being shown on "Dr. G.: Medical Examiner". Gah!

Work was worky.

I was expecting Garden Fairy to call me this weekend. She never did... until I found two voice mails on my phone! Dammit! I had the ringer off on it again! *Points to blonde hair, Need I say more?* GAH!

Oh, I did decide to have the car looked at. It is in need of its five thousand mile check up (grease job and oil change) so while it's in for that, I will have the mechanics look at the air conditioning unit. If it is going to be an easy/cheap fix, I will have it repaired. If not, then I'll skip it, learn to love sweating and start saving up money for a new car. (I'm thinking a Chevrolet Impala - if they're still in business next year.)

I am hoping we will be getting a new garage door opener this week. Dad says that he is getting a new garage door with it. I don't really care about the door but I do want to start parking my car in the garage to help keep it cool. The old garage door opener stripped a gear several weeks ago. It is very difficult to lift that door alone (it's on a two-car garage, so it's a big door) thus I park outside.

I have to call the vet and schedule an appointment for Her Royal Majesty, the Queen Cockleburr. It's time for her yearly check up. I got her down and brushed her yesterday. She was channeling a fire engine for a while. She was making that, "RRRRRrrrrrrRRRRRR!" noise that is half growl, half siren. Only got bit twice... scratched a lot, though. I kept telling her that if she didn't want me to brush her, she needed to take better care of herself. God! I swear. Teenagers! Anyway, that ought to be fun.

Well, I have several things to do today. Better get started.

cat, car
